7. Cost Breakdown (Project + First-Year Cloud)
All figures in INR.
| Item | Amount (₹) | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Website development & migration | 20,000 | React/Next.js + styled-components update |
| SEO implementation | 15,000 | Technical + on-page + structured data |
| GA4 setup & custom tracking | 5,000 | Events, dimensions, basic reports |
| Deployment, CI/CD, handover | Negligible | Included (Vercel free tier sufficient) |
| Project Total | 40,000 | One-time cost |
| Cloud hosting (Vercel) – Year 1 | ~1,500 | Hobby plan free; small overage/buffer assumed |
| Grand Total (1st year) | ~41,500 |
Cloud cost note:
For a typical low-to-medium traffic university site (10k–50k pageviews/month), Vercel Hobby plan is usually free (100 GB bandwidth included). The ₹1,500/year is a conservative buffer for minor overages, analytics events, or future growth. Pro plan (₹1,600–2,000/month) only needed if traffic scales significantly or advanced team features are required.
8. Major Assumptions
- Current domain remains the same
- University provides necessary access (Git repo, domain panel, Google accounts)
- Existing content & assets remain usable
- Traffic stays within Vercel Hobby plan generous free limits
