API & MCP Documentation

MD Share exposes a REST API and an MCP server for programmatic access to your documents and folders.

Authentication

Use a session cookie or an API key as a Bearer token: Authorization: Bearer <token>.

REST endpoints

  • GET /api/docs — list documents
  • POST /api/docs — create document
  • GET /api/docs/:slug — get document
  • PUT /api/docs/:slug — update document
  • DELETE /api/docs/:slug — delete document
  • GET /api/folders — list folders
  • POST /api/folders — create folder

MCP tools

  • list_documents — list your documents (optionally by folder)
  • get_document — read a document by slug
  • create_document — create a document
  • update_document — edit title/content/visibility
  • delete_document — delete a document
  • list_folders, create_folder, move_documents
